What We Do: Our programs work with local families and community members to create an individualized program that meets the needs of the autism community in a culturally appropriate manner. Our programs are based around 4 core components:
–Primary Caregiver Evidence-Based Practice Training Cooperatives that teach primary caregivers powerful skills for supporting children with autism in their community and that facilitate a network of evidence-based autism interventions.
–Parent Support and Self-Development Groups that create safe spaces for parents to discuss the joys and challenges that are a part of raising a child with autism.
-Sibling Support and Self-Development Groups that provide siblings with a safe peer community for play and to discuss their experiences while empowering them to support their siblings with autism.
-Community Education Initiatives that use a variety of approaches to teach communities about autism and to communicate the value that individuals with autism can bring to a community.
